HELP WANTED

Applications are being accepted for the full-time position of Dispatch Radio Operator ($16.40 to $16.90/hr.) for the Washington Police Department.  Ordinance requires employees reside no further than 10 miles of the corporate limits of the City of Washington.

Applications will be accepted at the Mayor’s Office, 200 Harned Avenue from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm Monday through Friday, or anytime at the Washington Police Department, 101 N.E. 3rd Street.  Applications can also be completed online by going to the City of Washington’s website at www.washingtonin.us.  Applications are due no later than April 30, 2017.  Please be sure to provide references.

Applicants should possess computer and typing skills with proficiency in Word and Excel, also must be able to multi-task and work well under pressure. Although not a requirement, bi-lingual speaking would be a plus.
