Daviess Community Hospital is a progressive rural hospital serving Daviess and surrounding counties.  Named one of Indiana’s Best Hospitals by Indiana Business Magazine during 2006 and 2007, the main campus is located at 1314 East Walnut Street in Washington.  Daviess Community Hospital is committed to be a leader, in partnership with physicians, in providing quality healthcare services.  The hospital is one of the areas largest employers.   

Governed by an eleven-member board, staffed by over 70 active and courtesy physicians and over 500 employees, DCH provides medical disciplines and a variety of health care services that improve the health of communities in the area.  Medical disciplines covered at DCH include family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, orthopedic surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, cardiology, endocrinology, emergency medicine, anesthesiology, gastroenterology, neurology, hematology, oncology, urology, ophthalmology, general surgery, otolaryngology, pulmonology, podiatry, pathology, radiology, rheumatology, and sleep medicine.  In addition to a busy medical/surgical unit, Daviess Community Hospital’s inpatient nursing units include intensive care, obstetrical care, pediatrics, inpatient rehabilitation, and behavioral health. 

The Emergency Department is staffed by specially trained physicians and nurses, the department is equipped, with three trauma rooms and 4 patient rooms to handle a wide variety of emergency cases from minor medical problems to stabilizing a trauma victim. Emergency air ambulance serves are provided by the Air Evac Lifeteam.  The hospital also offers inpatient and outpatient surgery, cardiopulmonary services, cardiac rehab, laboratory and pathology services, and radiology services including x-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI, PET/CT, mammography, and stereotactic breast biopsy.  Other services include a Hematology/Oncology/Specialty Physician Clinic; Home Care, Hospice, and LifeLine Services; Medication Assistance Program; Rehabilitation Therapies, and a Sleep Disorders Lab.  

Daviess Community Hospital operates a Quick Care Clinic located at 1805 South State Road 57 in Washington, near the Wal-Mart Supercenter.  The Clinic offers walk-in medical care for everyday illnesses and injuries.  In addition, Daviess Community Hospital operates and is associated with medical clinics and physicians in Montgomery, Loogootee, Petersburg, Odon, and Washington, making primary medical care available and accessible.
