The City of Washington, Indiana

The City of Washington Information Technology Department is responsible for planning, directing, and/or coordinating activities related to electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming.

The department is responsible for managing backup, security, disaster recovery, and user help systems. The department also manages the City's web site. Involvement in the strategic development of the City's digital infrastructure consists of the on-going evaluation of the City's use of technology and recommending improvements, such as hardware and software upgrades.

A major goal of this department's activities is to build the infrastructure that attracts new businesses and jobs, and that will provide our citizens with the best services possible.
