Notes for Goal 5
- How was baseline established? Only litter campaigns in Washington prior to CLEAN Goal was GAB Clean Sweep and Perdue Clean Stream. GAB Clean Sweep is a one day event in spring where GAB pays non profit groups per pound of trash picked up in designated areas of the city. They started this event in 2012. Perdue held a Project Clean Stream in April of last year to clean up water ways in the city. They collected 726 lbs. of debris. The City of Washington assisted in both events.
